Basketball player Tymofienko achieves unique milestone.


Captain of the team 'Dnipro' Stanislav Tymofienko reached a new milestone in his career. He became the first player in the history of the basketball SuperLeague to achieve 3000 rebounds. This information was released by the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.
After the first quarter-final playoff match against the team 'Prykarpattya-Hoverla', Tymofienko now has 3014 rebounds, which allowed him to top the rebounding ranking that has been maintained since 2009.
In second place in the ranking is 'Kyiv-Basket' center Maksym Sandul. He has already collected 340 rebounds this season, which is 150 more than Tymofienko. In the overall ranking, he has 2595 rebounds. In third place are Volodymyr Konev (2036 rebounds) and Andriy Agafonov (2005 rebounds), the latter of whom collected 6 rebounds in yesterday's match against 'Kryvbas' and crossed the 2000 rebound mark.

Ukrainian sitting volleyball players became bronze medalists at the Champions Cup. The international sitting volleyball tournament took place in Pisa, Italy, featuring six of the strongest women's teams in Europe.
In the group stage, the Ukrainian team confidently defeated the teams of Hungary and Slovenia with scores of 3-0. In the semi-final match against the Italian team, the Ukrainians lost with a score of 1-3. However, in the match for third place, the Ukrainian team defeated the Hungarian team with a score of 3-0 and received bronze medals.
Laureates of the traditional competition for the best athletes and coaches of the month, conducted by the Expert Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, were also announced.
The best athlete of March 2025 was recognized as Serhii Kulish, European champion in shooting (10m pneumatic rifle), which took place in Osijek, Croatia. The best young athlete of March was Yegor Yakushenko, who won a gold medal at the U-23 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in the weight category up to 97 kg. The best coaches of March were Viktor Nahniy and Mykola Yelarinov, personal mentors of the winners.
