No sirens: Ukrainians will be warned of air alerts in a new way.

Ukrainians have received a new air alert system
Starting from May 1, an updated air alert system has been implemented in the Dnipropetrovsk region, operating in test mode. The main innovation is a zonal approach to issuing alerts. Now signals will not be spread across the entire region simultaneously, but only in those areas where there is a real threat.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the new system will help avoid unconfirmed alerts, reduce anxiety levels among residents, and prevent disruptions in the operation of educational, medical, and business institutions.
Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones.
Under the new system, alerts will be announced only in areas where there is an immediate threat, such as missile launches or the approach of hostile drones. Residents of areas without threat will be able to carry on with their usual activities without stress.
Currently, the system is operating in test mode, but in the future, similar models may be implemented in other regions of Ukraine.
