Bloomberg names two EU countries that are delaying military aid to Ukraine.


According to Bloomberg, France and Italy have not agreed to the European Union allocating €5 billion to supply Ukraine with ammunition. This has become a problem for the EU in light of the reduction in US support.
The majority of EU member states gathered in Brussels agree on the allocation of funding for military assistance, but France and Italy are slowing down the process.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged leaders to allocate funds as soon as possible, especially for air defense and military aid.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for an end to arms supplies to Ukraine, complicating efforts for the EU.
EU's chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, hopes that leaders will support at least part of the plan for allocating ammunition.
France and Italy oppose the allocation of large sums, which is a problem for reaching agreements.
Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo supports the initiative and criticizes those countries that do not supply weapons to Ukraine.
Hungary has become an obstacle to providing aid to Ukraine, but its attempts to involve Orbán in the deal have been rejected.
