Bulgaria checks combat aviation.

The Bulgarian Air Force will check its combat readiness after a series of incidents that resulted in the deaths of pilots. This is reported by Euractiv.
Bulgaria, which is a NATO member, secures the defense of the Alliance's eastern flank. However, the country uses outdated fighters that were delivered more than 35 years ago.
Experts have repeatedly emphasized that the state of the Bulgarian military aviation is concerning. Old equipment has a negative impact on the training of pilots and the country's ability to fulfill its obligations to NATO.
Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov stated that during the inspection, attention will be paid to the organization, training, discipline, and the number of hours spent in the air by military pilots.
