People's Deputy Volodymyr Ariev reported that only 12 out of 67 Khmelnytskyi prosecutors who abused disability have been suspended so far. The Office of the Prosecutor General revealed that only one prosecutor has had a criminal case opened against him for fraud, and after the medical commission, only 29 out of 55 remained in their positions.

According to the GPU, only 12 prosecutors out of 67 were dismissed, one suspended due to criminal fraud, and 29 remained at work after the medical commission.

Volodymyr Ariev also noted that the investigation into these cases is being conducted improperly.

The situation with the illegal enrichment of the head of the MSEC

In October 2024, it was revealed that the head of the Khmelnytskyi regional MSEC, Tetyana Krupa, and her son, the former head of the regional Pension Fund, Oleksandr Krupa, illegally enriched themselves by nearly $6 million. A preventive measure was chosen for Oleksandr Krupa with the possibility of posting bail of over 500 million hryvnias.

This resulted in an investigation of more than 50 prosecutors from Khmelnytskyi due to illegal disabilities. The prosecutor of Cherkasy region, Taras Horobets, also found himself in a judicial collapse due to pension payment fraud.

These difficult situations only emphasize the exacerbated problem of corruption in the authorities of Khmelnytskyi region and support the need for increased control and anti-corruption measures.
