Prices for building materials - how much does renovation cost in 2025.


Despite the military actions in Ukraine, people continue to actively buy real estate and renovate their apartments. However, prices for building materials have significantly increased in recent years.

Before the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, there were no problems ordering individual workers or entire teams. Currently, the major issue is the shortage of professionals due to mobilization. Teams are now mainly engaged in renovations within cities.
How much does it currently cost to renovate an apartment
As of today, renovation prices range from 4-5 thousand hryvnias per square meter for cosmetic repairs to 16-17 thousand per square meter for designer renovations. It is recommended to contact official builders to have a more guaranteed result.
Is it worth renovating in 2025
Experts advise taking a careful approach to the issue of renovation under modern conditions. Considering the risks associated with the war, it is advisable to plan for a possible increase in renovation costs, which may turn out to be much higher than estimated calculations.
Which materials have risen in price the most
Since the beginning of the war, all building materials have increased in price by at least 80-120%. This situation has been triggered by increased demand and the cessation of activities of certain Ukrainian producers. Prices for cement, plastic windows, and double-glazed units have particularly risen due to the closure of some Ukrainian enterprises and the increase in the import of components.
Despite the war, Ukrainians continue to renovate and buy real estate; however, the cost of building materials has significantly increased due to heightened demand and the import of components.
