On October 1, Iran began a massive rocket attack on Israel, actually fulfilling its threats of retaliation.
According to ABC News, Israel expected up to 250 rockets to be launched, but The Jerusalem Post reports that actually 102 rockets were launched.
The situation is developing quickly, and numerous videos are appearing on social media showing rocket launches from various cities in Iran towards Israel.
Witnesses are also sharing footage of some rockets exploding in the sky immediately after launch, which may indicate technical malfunctions or the actions of air defense systems.
A massive air raid alert has been declared in Israel.
Reports are coming in that the Iron Dome missile defense system is unable to cope with the intensity of the attack. Hits have been recorded in the Tel Aviv area.
