Catastrophic mistake: Budanov spoke about the course of the war, Russia's plans, and North Korea's aid.

The Russian leadership admitted that their invasion of Ukraine in 2022 was based on false data and was a serious mistake. This was reported by Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, at the forum 'Ukraine. Year - 2025'. He also noted that Russia hoped to quickly seize Kyiv and suppress the resistance of the entire country, but this did not happen. However, Russia does not abandon its strategic goals and continues to develop its military potential.
Budanov paid special attention to the role of North Korea in these processes. He reported that North Korea provides half of the Russian army's expenses for ammunition and supplies heavy weapons. The head of the GUR also confirmed the presence of North Korean military personnel on the territory of Russia. He also noted that the plan to recruit new servicemen into the Russian army this year has been reduced.
