April Surprise in the Carpathians: Snowdrifts Reach One Meter (Photo).


About 20 cm of snow fell on Mount Pip Ivan within a day, with snowdrifts reaching up to one meter. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing mountain rescuers of Prykarpattya.
Worsening weather conditions! As of 07:40 on April 10, 2025, it is cloudy on Mount Pip Ivan, fog (visibility is minimal), wind from the west and northwest at 10-12 m/s, air temperature -10°C, snow is falling', the report states.
Rescuers note that about 20 cm of snow has fallen on the mountain within a day, and snowdrifts are locally reaching one meter.
It is worth reminding that today, April 10, Kyiv residents witnessed an atypical weather anomaly for mid-spring. Since early morning, wet snow and rain have been falling in the capital. Although precipitation is not intense and quickly melts on hard surfaces, a thin white layer has managed to cover plants that have already awakened after winter.
