News from the front in the war
The enemy launched one missile and 47 airstrikes, using one missile and dropping 86 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed over a thousand kamikaze drones and carried out 3923 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas.
Latest events at the front
According to the reports from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of May 17 at 22:00, there have been 131 combat clashes. The Ukrainian defense forces are focusing their efforts on preventing Russian invaders from implementing their offensive plans and exhausting their combat potential.
Situation in certain directions
- Kharkiv direction: The enemy conducted three attacks in the vicinity of Vovchansk and towards Stroyivka.
- Kupyansk direction: The enemy made one attempt to advance near Zahryzove.
- Lyman direction: Ukrainian forces repelled 19 assaults on positions near the settlements of Novoyegorivka, Lozova, Ridkodub, etc.
- Severodonetsk direction: The enemy attacked near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
- Kramatorsk direction: The enemy attempted to attack areas of Chasovy Yar, Kurdiumivka, Predtechyn, etc.
The situation remains tense in all directions, with enemy attacks and counterattacks. We remind you that the full-scale war in Ukraine has now reached its 1179th day.
Ukrainian troops continue to defend their positions and repel enemy attacks. The utmost importance of mobilizing and supporting our defenders is unquestionable in the context of ongoing war.
