French President Emmanuel Macron unequivocally condemned Russia's aggressive policy during a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by the press service of the Elysée Palace.
According to French diplomatic sources, Macron emphasized the unacceptable logic of escalation from Russia and criticized Russian military strikes and increased cooperation with North Korea, which is accompanied by aggressive rhetoric.
'Russian strikes, increased cooperation with North Korea, and the irresponsible rhetoric that accompanies them are part of the unacceptable logic of escalation from Russia, which continues to pursue a revisionist, brutal, and imperialistic objective,' the Elysée Palace statement said.
Macron also assured Zelensky of France's support for Ukraine 'as long as it is necessary.'
