The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on National Health Issues has supported bills 13131 and 13138, which provide for the replacement of paper medical conclusions with an electronic format. This will simplify the procedure for obtaining certificates for drivers in Ukraine.

The head of the committee, Mykhailo Radutskyi, noted that the innovation will allow doctors to enter all conclusions directly into the electronic health care system, facilitating the process of obtaining certificates for both patients and medical personnel.

Requirements for Different Categories of Drivers

Changes in the legislation provide for different requirements for different categories of drivers. Drivers who use transport for personal purposes are allowed to undergo examination by a family doctor or therapist, and consultation with a specialist will only be necessary in exceptional cases.

Professional drivers will still be required to undergo a full medical commission, but they will have the opportunity to see a psychiatrist only based on relevant indications.

The introduction of electronic medical certificates for drivers by the government will simplify and streamline the process of obtaining medical conclusions in the country. Different requirements for various categories of drivers will also ensure more effective medical assistance for drivers with different needs.
