'Neither tomorrow, nor the day after': Macron spoke about the timeline for the end of the war in Ukraine.


French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the conflict in Ukraine will last for a long Time, emphasizing the need to allow Ukraine to negotiate from a position of strength. This was reported by Ukrinform.
During a speech to the French Armed Forces, Macron underscored that after hostilities cease, it is necessary to ensure guarantees for Ukraine against the return of war and to maintain the security of Europe.
'The war will not end tomorrow, nor the day after,' Macron said, emphasizing that negotiations and cooperation among Europeans are needed to achieve peace in Europe.
The French president noted the importance of giving Ukraine the chance to withstand and negotiate from a position of strength. He also stressed the need to provide security guarantees for Ukraine after the war ends.
During a meeting with the command of military digital and cyber support, Macron also emphasized the need to increase defense capabilities in Europe.
He called for the expansion of joint programs and support for European weapons manufacturers. 'In a world where rules are being broken and arsenals are being filled, we need to move forward and faster,' he stated.
Macron also supported NATO and called the alliance 'a natural area of cooperation with the United States,' provided they continue to pay attention to European security.
