“Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine”: MFA responded to Switzerland's unexpected move.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed its disappointment with Switzerland's support of the so-called "China-Brazil six-point consensus".
In a statement published on September 28, 2024, the MFA noted that it considers such a step from the Swiss side unacceptable.
The Ukrainian department emphasized that all peace initiatives regarding Ukraine should be based on two key principles: "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine" and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders.
The MFA also recalled the First Global Peace Summit, which was held on June 15-16 in Burgenstock with the participation of representatives from a hundred countries and international institutions. The department noted that countries continue to cooperate on increasing the number of signatories to the Final Communiqué of this summit.
The statement emphasizes that the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is the only way to achieve comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace. The MFA urged to avoid participation in initiatives that do not contain a clear reference to the UN Charter and do not guarantee the full restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
Switzerland supported the initiative of China and Brazil
Earlier it was reported that Switzerland supported the peace initiative of China and Brazil regarding Ukraine, despite the absence of a reference to the UN Charter. Nicholas Bideau, spokesman for the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, stated that the initiative is important because it offers an alternative to warlike rhetoric.
