Naftogaz restored half of its production after enemy attacks
The company 'Naftogaz' reported that it has restored half of the production volumes lost during enemy attacks in February 2025. This was announced by the company's head Roman Chumak at a briefing at the Ministry of Energy.
According to the head of the company, this heating season has been the most challenging since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. However, thanks to the urgent gas imports, 'Naftogaz' ensured warmth in the homes of Ukrainians.
'We ensured urgent import of natural gas during the first quarter, balanced the needs, and no Ukrainian felt a shortage of gas or heat. We managed and proved that 'Naftogaz' is today a guarantor of energy stability. This is the main assessment of our success,' noted Chumak.
It was also noted that preparations for the next winter have already begun. 'Naftogaz' received a grant from Norway for equipment worth 140 million euros and a loan from the EBRD for 270 million euros to ensure energy stability.
