Potap explained in an interview with a Russian blogger why he took off his pants on stage in Moscow.

Ukrainian singer and producer Oleksiy Potapenko decided to give an interview to Russian journalist Dudya. In it, he explained why he took off his pants at the RU.TV award ceremony. It was noted that at that moment, the Ukrainian authorities did not comment on the situation in Crimea. This joke was directed at singers LORAK and Povalij, who were also present. However, Potap regretted this act and admitted his mistakes. He also mentioned that after the start of the anti-terrorist operation in the Russian Federation, he closed his business and ceased performances in Russia with Kamensky.
However, in 2017, they performed one song at Meladze's 'solyanka'. As a result of this interview, Potap received a lot of criticism in Ukraine and abroad.
