Massive drone attack in Crimea and regions of Russia
On the night of Saturday, January 11, a massive drone attack occurred in Crimea and several regions of Russia. This was reported by propaganda monitoring and news channels.
Local residents observed explosions and the operation of air defense systems. The drone attack took place in Voronezh, Kursk, Saratov, and Lipetsk regions. Explosions were also recorded in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Krai), Anapa, and Kursk.
Some sources reported drones and missiles over Sevastopol, Kerch, Tamann, and the port of Caucasus (in the Kerch Strait).
It is reported on the internet that initially the UAV arrived at the port. A fire broke out in the area of Lake Bam (outskirts of the city). 'Caliber' carriers are based there. It was also reported that several airports suspended operations.
According to Russian media, powerful explosions occurred in Voronezh and Kursk, while air defense in Crimea intensified measures against drones. Ukrainian OSINT groups claim that their number may exceed 120.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel about the drone attack on the country's territory and the occupied Crimea. According to the information from the Russian agency, their air defense allegedly shot down 85 drones.
It is reported that 31 drones were destroyed over the waters of the Black Sea, and 14 over the Azov Sea.
Recall that earlier the 'Neptune' missile and SBU drones struck a Russian ammunition depot.
