How many parishes of the Moscow church have transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church? Zhytomyr Regional State Administration named the figures for 2024-2025.

In Zhytomyr region, over the last two years, 22 religious communities of the Moscow church have transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This data was provided by the Zhytomyr regional military administration, as stated in the material from 'Glavkom' 'The law on the prohibition of the Moscow church: and the cart is still there. Who is sabotaging the process?'.
During 2024, 20 religious communities of the Church in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate transferred to the UOC/OCU, in 2025 - two. There are 584 religious communities remaining in the UOC MP.
It should be noted that from the moment of the adoption of the law on the prohibition of the Moscow church on May 20, 2025, nine months will pass. This period was provided for religious communities that the state considers connected with Russia to voluntarily sever this connection. To keep up, parishes, monasteries, and other religious organizations have a few weeks left. However, it can already be confidently said: very few have taken advantage of the opportunity provided by the legislator. More than 90% of the communities of the Church in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate have not complied with the law's requirements - they have not re-registered their statutes.
So what will happen after the allotted nine months are up? Read more about this in the material: 'The law on the prohibition of the Moscow church: and the cart is still there. Who is sabotaging the process?'.
