In Lviv, law enforcement officials have drawn up administrative protocols against the parents of students of Lyceum No. 93 after the schoolchildren were caught listening to and performing songs by Russian rapper Morgenshtern. The incident occurred in the school restroom and quickly spread across local Telegram channels, provoking public outrage, reports 'Hlavkom' referencing Lviv.media.
In the video that circulated on local Telegram channels, teenagers are seen dancing and singing to Russian music, using profanity and showing immoral content, while others filmed it on their phones. The school administration confirmed the occurrence and immediately summoned the parents of the participants and involved the police to investigate.
Kateirina Rybiĭ, the head of the Lviv patrol police press service, confirmed that the situation is being processed by specialists. Inspectors from the educational safety service reacted promptly to the incident.
Drawing up protocols and interacting with parents
According to Andrii Zakaliuk, the head of the education and science department of the Lviv City Council, the main task is 'to figure things out, draw conclusions and act,' not to 'crucify'. He also emphasized that work is already underway with the school management, students, and parents.
The Lviv region patrol police reported that protocols were drawn up against all parents of the participants in the incident under Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses – failure to fulfill responsibilities for raising children. Police emphasized that the songs of the Russian performer contain foul language, immoral content, and promote unacceptable behavior.
In their address, the patrol police press service urged parents: 'Talk to your children, instill in them a proper understanding of social behavioral norms, take an interest in their leisure activities and do not violate the law'. The exact number of parents fined is not currently specified.
