On the case regarding the defense of Kharkiv region: the court kept the brigadier general in custody.

The preventive measure for the former head of the Tactical Operational Group 'Kharkiv' remains unchanged
The Kyiv Court of Appeal upheld the decision to keep the former head of the Tactical Operational Group 'Kharkiv', Yuriy Halushkin, in pre-trial detention. This was reported with reference to Suspilne.
The hearing of the case took place behind closed doors. Yuriy Halushkin's lawyer requested round-the-clock house arrest, but the prosecution insisted on keeping Halushkin behind bars. The court supported the decision of the first instance, so Halushkin remains in pre-trial detention at least until March 20.
It is worth recalling that Yuriy Halushkin is accused of neglecting military service, particularly during the defense of the Kharkiv region last year.
In January of this year, former commanders suspected of negligence were detained by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service. This concerns Brigadier General Yuriy Halushkin, Lieutenant General Artur Horbenko, and Colonel Illya Lapin. The investigation believes that their inaction allowed Russian occupants to capture part of the territory of Kharkiv region in May 2024.
Previously, the Pechersk District Court decided to keep Colonel Illya Lapin in custody as part of this case.
As for Yuriy Halushkin, his court was arrested for 60 days with the possibility of posting a bail of 5 million UAH. After the bail was posted, the State Bureau of Investigation re-arrested Halushkin on a new suspicion.
