NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that to end Russia's war against Ukraine, it is necessary to resume dialogue with Russia, but on the basis of Ukrainian strength. He emphasized that he believes in the possibility of dialogue with the Russian Federation, but it must be combined with defense and deterrence.
Stoltenberg also expressed regret that NATO and its allies had not done enough earlier to strengthen Ukraine. If Ukraine were stronger militarily, the threshold for Russian aggression would have been higher. Now the U.S. is demanding a detailed plan from President Zelensky before granting permission for 'far-reaching' strikes against Russia.
