U.S. President Donald Trump has appointed Keith Kellogg as special representative for Ukraine and Russia, reports Voice of America correspondent from the White House.
Trump stated there is 'significant progress' in relations between Russia and Ukraine, not disclosing further details regarding this statement.
The U.S. President also emphasized the importance of rare earth metals. He proposed that Ukraine exchange rare earth metals for American aid. 'I want Ukraine to give us rare earth metals,' Trump stated.
Earlier, Reuters reported on a possible historic meeting between Trump and Putin.
EU leaders will discuss Trump’s threats regarding the imposition of tariffs on imports at an informal summit.
