The US has made an important decision regarding F-16s for Ukraine.

The US Department of Defense has approved a potential sale to Ukraine of training and support services for F-16 fighters worth $310.5 million.
According to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the support package will include modifications and upgrades to the aircraft, training of personnel in operation and maintenance of fighters, spare parts and consumables, repair services, ground equipment, software, and technical documentation.
'The proposed sale will support U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives by enhancing the security of a partner country, which is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe,' DSCA's statement said.
The US government has also clearly stated that this sale will enhance Ukraine's ability to counter current and future threats by providing effective pilot training and increasing cooperation with the United States through comprehensive training with the US Air Force.
The main contractors will be American companies, including Valiant Integrated Services, Top Aces Corporation, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Pratt and Whitney, Snap-on, Inc., BAE Systems, Inc., AAR Corporation, and Comsetra, LLC.
The implementation of the sale will not require additional deployment of US government representatives or contractors to Ukraine and will not negatively impact the defense readiness of the United States, the document emphasizes.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that Ukraine will accelerate the creation of its own ballistic systems and strengthen its aviation with F-16s.
