In Sumy, as a result of a Russian missile strike, 28 people were injured, including four children.


Russian occupiers today launched a missile strike on the center of Sumy. As a result, 28 civilians were injured, including four children. Several multi-storey residential buildings and a school were damaged.
Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar reported that the enemy attacked the residential sector and infrastructure of the city, specifically targeting children's hospital facilities.
Currently, 24 adults and 4 children are known to be injured, - Kobzar wrote on Telegram.
According to him, all emergency services are working at the scene. The headquarters are providing assistance to the victims at kindergartens No. 10 and No. 25.
Deputy Chairman of the Sumy District Council Volodymyr Bitsak, speaking on the air of Day. LIVE, reported that a ballistic missile, likely an X-101, hit the city. Accurate information about the number of injured is currently unavailable due to the fire that is ongoing in the building located at the epicenter of the explosion.
Currently, efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the explosion, firefighters are evacuating residents of damaged buildings. Access to the explosion site is still restricted, - Bitsak added.
Witnesses report a broken window in a school located near the site of the strike. The head of the regional military administration Volodymyr Artyukh previously reported that children were in a protective facility during the strike and are currently being evacuated.
