Terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries headquarters in Ankara
As a result of a terrorist attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara, three people were killed and another 14 were injured.
This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Ali Yerlikaya.
According to CNN Turk, the attack was carried out by three terrorists, one of whom was a woman. The attackers drove up to the enterprise's gates in a taxi and opened fire with long-barreled weapons.
Footage released by Turkish media shows a powerful explosion near the taxi, after which panic arose in the vicinity. Two terrorists were neutralized, as reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The attack took place on the territory of the company's headquarters in the Kahramankazan district, which is located approximately 28 kilometers from Ankara. Turkish Aerospace Industries is a state-owned company specializing in the production of military and civilian aircraft, including Anka-type drones and the modernization of F-16 fighters.
The company was created to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign imports of military aerospace technologies.
