Ukraine and the Czech Republic plan new long-term contracts for ammunition supply.


Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valeriy Churkin discussed ammunition supply plans with a delegation from the Czech Republic.
Thank you to the people and leadership of the Czech Republic for their comprehensive, including military, assistance in countering Russian aggression, said the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
During the meeting, Valeriy Churkin and the head of the delegation from the Czech Republic, Aleš Vítězka, director of the Intergovernmental Agency for Military Cooperation under the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, discussed plans for further cooperation.
The head of the delegation from the Czech Republic detailed the schedule and volumes of ammunition supplies under the 'Ammunition Initiative'.
In particular, they discussed the dynamics of incoming shells of various calibers throughout 2025, cooperation with donor countries of the initiative.
The Ukrainian and Czech delegations discussed collaboration with other countries within the framework of joint projects.
The delegations also discussed opportunities to meet the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the possibilities for concluding new long-term contracts.
