Ukraine Secretly Received Equipment for Nuclear Power Plants from Czech Republic.

Czech company Škoda JS delivered 8 new drives for the reactors of the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant to Ukraine.
The European company successfully delivered 8 new drives for two VVER 440 type reactors before Christmas. According to the spokesperson of the Pilsen engineering company Karel Samec, the announcement of the delivery was delayed due to Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. The drives ensure the stable operation of the reactor and allow for its regulation, which will help ensure a stable supply of electricity to the country affected by the war.
In addition, another company from the ČEZ group, ÚJV Řež, supplied a special cable to reinforce the protective building of the reactor. It weighs 13 tons and is 173 meters long.
Škoda JS also supplied 76 accumulators to the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, which are already installed and operational. The company is the sole manufacturer in the world that supplies this type of drives to Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The cost of the contract is not disclosed.
Škoda JS plans to expand cooperation with the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant and the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant. The Rivne Nuclear Power Plant is located near the border with Poland and Belarus.
