In Odesa, a 72-year-old mother of a deceased soldier was beaten. Mayor Trukhanov reacted.

A 72-year-old woman, the mother of a deceased soldier who works at a school, was attacked in Odesa. This was reported by the director of the education department, Olena Buinevych. The woman applied to the office of an organization related to social assistance, but she was denied help and even attacked.
The woman managed to escape but felt unwell at work. She called an ambulance, which informed the law enforcement. However, instead of an investigation, turmoil against the victim began - she is being defamed, accused of the attack, and punished.
Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov intervened in this situation. He stated that the woman would receive medical and psychological assistance. 'I will take control of this matter. We are waiting for the assessment and the corresponding actions from law enforcement. Those responsible must face deserved punishment,' said Trukhanov.
Earlier in Kharkiv, a serviceman was beaten and robbed. Law enforcement detained two suspects.
Also, in Ivano-Frankivsk, unknown assailants attacked a man in military uniform, as witnessed by a local resident.
Currently, the police are investigating the beating of a veteran in the city of Smila. The suspect has been notified of suspicion and could be sentenced to up to 12 years in prison.
