Usyk: Saudi Arabia is a second home for me
Oleksandr Usyk, the world boxing champion, stated that Saudi Arabia has become a second home for him. He also praised the conditions for boxing in the country and expressed his desire to hold the next bout with Dubois. Usyk noted that he is well received in Saudi Arabia, but it was not possible to hold bouts in Ukraine. The boxer spoke about his destroyed house in Vorzel and the negative experience with Russians who lived there. He also declined a political career and expressed his readiness to become the Minister of Sports of Ukraine.
Usyk’s promoter reported that negotiations with Dubois are ongoing regarding the organization of the fight for the title of absolute world champion, as well as with Great Britain.
Usyk has also made it into the list of the highest-paid athletes, earning $122 million over the year.
