The draw for EuroBasket 2025 has taken place.


Groups of the European Basketball Championship 2025
The draw for the European Championship 2025 in basketball took place, establishing the group stage of the tournament. The competition will start on August 27 and will last until September 14. The group stage will take place in Latvia, Finland, Poland, and Cyprus, while the final part will be held in Riga.
During the group stage, the teams are divided into 4 groups of 6 participants each:
Group A (matches in Riga): Serbia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Estonia, Portugal
Group B (matches in Tampere): Germany, Lithuania, Montenegro, Finland, Great Britain, Sweden
Group C (matches in Limassol): Spain, Greece, Italy, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus
Group D (matches in Katowice): France, Slovenia, Poland, Israel, Belgium, Iceland
It is worth mentioning that the men's national team of Ukraine could not qualify for the final part of EuroBasket 2025, losing to Slovenia in the fifth round of the group stage of the qualifying process.
Also, the draw for the pre-qualification of the 2027 World Championship for men, in which the national team of Ukraine participates, has taken place. In total, 12 teams are distributed into 4 groups. Two teams from each group will advance to the main qualification:
Group A: Ukraine, Slovakia, Switzerland
Group B: Hungary, North Macedonia, Romania
Group C: Bulgaria, Netherlands, Austria
Group D: Croatia, Denmark, Norway
The pre-qualification involves conducting 2 home and away matches for each national team. Matches are scheduled for August 2, 5, 9, 13, 16, and 20.
