The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Russian losses in the war as of October 20, 2024
The Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine as of October 20 has lost:
personnel ‒ about 678,520 (+1,340) people,
tanks ‒ 9,047 (+12) units,
armored fighting vehicles ‒ 18,111 (+39) units,
artillery systems ‒ 19,565 (+17) units,
MLRS – 1,231 (+0) units,
air defense systems ‒ 978 (+0) units,
aircraft ‒ 369 (+0) units,
helicopters ‒ 329 (+0) units,
operational-tactical UAVs ‒ 17,287 (+57),
cruise missiles ‒ 2,624 (+1),
ships/boats ‒ 28 (+0) units,
submarines ‒ 1 (+0) unit,
vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 26,987 (+41) units,
special equipment ‒ 3,476 (+3) units.
Occupant fleet activity as of October 20:
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship, which is not a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles;
- in the Azov Sea, no enemy ships are present;
- in the Mediterranean Sea, four enemy ships, of which three are carriers of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 28 missiles.
In the past day, in the interests of Russia, the passage through the Kerch Strait was made by:
- to the Black Sea – five vessels, of which three continued moving towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Azov Sea – five vessels, of which one was moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, the 970th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is underway.
By the way, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) analyzed maps and satellite images from the front and reported that occupants are actively operating in the Donetsk region and advancing in the Kursk region. In turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have partial success in the Kupyansk direction.
