Zelensky: In two days of fighting in Kursk, Russia lost up to a battalion of North Korean soldiers.


The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that during the fighting in Kursk, Russia suffered losses of up to a battalion of infantry, consisting of North Korean soldiers and Russian paratroopers, over two days. Zelensky also noted that the battles are ongoing along the entire front line, with the most intense activity in the Pokrovsk direction.
«In particular, during the battles today and yesterday in the area of just one village, Makhnovka in Kursk, the Russian army lost up to a battalion of infantry, made up of North Korean soldiers and Russian paratroopers. And this is significant», - said Zelensky.
The President also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian brigades that are defending Ukrainian positions and striking the occupiers. He received a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy.
According to the notebook of a North Korean special forces operative, North Korea is sending its soldiers to assist Russia in gaining combat experience and preparing for a possible war with Ukraine.
Also, on January 2, the Ukrainian forces struck a command post of the Russian army in the village of Maryne in the Kursk region.
