Poland aims to be the first country to restore air connections with Ukraine
After the opening of the airspace over Ukraine, Poland plans to become the first country to establish air connections with Ukrainian cities. This was announced by Poland's government representative for the reconstruction of Ukraine, Pawel Kowal.
'The Ukrainian side knows our position: we want the first flight after the opening of the sky (over Ukraine - ed.) to take place between Poland and Ukraine. This is a very important element that the Polish Air Navigation Agency (PAŻP) and Polish airlines are preparing for,' Kowal stated.
Kowal also emphasized that the aviation sector in Poland is ready to restore cooperation with Ukraine and is one of the most prepared sectors in the country. Two specialized seminars have already been held between Poland and Ukraine regarding the restoration of air connections.
Poland plans to actively assist Ukraine in the country's reconstruction, focusing on three main aspects: logistics, export support, and promoting investments.
'Logistics is the first priority since Poland is located next to Ukraine... Export is the main source of trade... Investment in Ukraine is the third key aspect,' Kowal explained.
